David is a successful London based hotel CEO and entrepreneur. David was co-founder and CEO of City Inn, latterly renamed Mint Hotels, growing the business from a start up in Edinburgh, (moving to London in 2000) which became a 2700 room business until its sale to Blackstone for over £600m in 2011.

Following the sale of the company David focused on individual projects through Urbanist Hotels. These have included the Rosewood Hotel proposal in Edinburgh, working with hotel investors and property owners on innovative London hotel projects securing planning permissions, supporting asset management teams and mentoring roles.

In March 2018, David took over as CEO at Nadler Hotels, to lead the group into its next phase of growth and development. Formerly Base2stay, the company opened its first hotel, now named The Nadler Kensington in 2006 and has since opened four further hotels, The Nadler Covent Garden being the most recent having opened February this year.

David continues as Chairman of Urbanist Hotels as they progress the Rosewood Edinburgh project.
