Bonnie Reese

Bonnie has been working in the field of Strategic Design for the past 18 years across a wide range of industries.
At Gensler, Bonnie provides leadership in human centered design and digital experience, taking a holistic and inclusive approach to the built environment. She’s worked on projects to shape public spaces for cities and universities, healthcare clinics, workplaces, and entertainment districts.
Prior to joining Gensler as an Experience Strategist, She spent nine years as at the international design and innovation firm, frog focused on qualitative research and design strategy.After leaving frog, she launched her own consultancy to help companies become more human centered in their approach to their businesses. She’s worked in the Healthcare Industry, with University Systems, Technology Companies, and Financial Services providing strategic vision based in market and consumer insights. She also taught a graduate course in Design at the University of Texas in Austin for three years.
In addition to leading Strategic Vision definition programs and workshops, she has also conducted research across a range of industries and geographies – looking at the nutritional behavior change in rural Madagascar; internet behaviors in China, online course engagement in the US, and home automation across the globe. She has addressed the government of Madagascar, spoken at TEDMed Austin, Diseño Punto in Mexico, the Design Research Conference (IxDA) and locally here at Impact Austin.
